View Full Version : Photo borders that match the theme background

Hi there-

This one is simple, but hard to describe, so bear (bare?) with me. I like to embed photos in the homepage and in journals. The text layout is often too close to the images for my tastes, so I add 5 pixel borders to each embedded photo to give it that margin. Unfortunately, when I switch my design theme to one that has a color background (anything besides white) the white borders show up (obviously.) I'm hoping to eliminate that problem without restricting my website to white-background-only designs.

Possible solutions (and I have no idea how hard these are):
1.) have an automatic 5 pixel border for all photos embedded in home page or journal
2.) have an option in the advanced photo tab where I can add a 5 pixel border, but it defaults to the design's background color (versus the black border default that it currently has, or the white border that I change it to.)

Hope that makes sense. Not a MUST-HAVE feature, but it sure would be appreciated!

Hello Heidi,

This feature is already available! When you insert a image into your journal or homepage using the EZ toolbar image icon, click on the "Appearance" tab and enter values for the Verticle and Horizontal space. This will add a X pixel border around the image that will be transparent allowing it to work for all themes.

See the attached screenshot.

Let me know if this is what you were looking for.

Hooray, hooray!

Thanks for explaining the details to this neophyte, Brian!
I pinky swear promise to stop using border and start using the vertical and horizontal space.

You're the best!
