So last weekend we went up to our almost 4 year old's room to find that every wall was plastered with crayon. Apparently when a friend was over they thought all the walls were one big canvas and that it would be fun to draw all sorts of pictures. I have heard of kids doing this but I was still a bit surprised and frustrated. (The pictures were good though!)

I recall my MIL mentioning that you can't just paint over the crayon as it many cases it comes through. So I took a look around and found a great resource on Crayola.com with tips on stain removal (http://www.crayola.com/canwehelp/staintips/index.cfm?n_id=32).

We ended up having our daughter help us clean up all the mess and it actually turned out OK. I found it humorous that Crayola had an entire section dedicated to this but was very happy when their suggestions worked.

I wanted to be sure to pass this on to everyone else as likely many of you will experience this or know someone else who needs a quick tip.

Kmryn did that to me when he was 3! Its funny now, but very irritating at the time, lol. I used the Magic Eraser to get it off with no problem...

My daughter hasn't tried to draw on the walls yet, but my dad always told me to have an area where she always has access to draw, so we got her the Alex super art table and it constantly has a roll of paper and lots of storage for crayons. Then whenever she feels like being creative, she can do it there and not on our nice stuff. :)
