Ive been having problems with the site all day today.
I load pics, then go to save the album and it freezes up and all my progress is lost.
Its frustrating.
Did you create a new account with the photocenter?
It is not the same as TotSite, you need to actually register a second account at the photocenter. Not sure if this helps at all.

I just received my first order today. The quality seems to be great. However, I'm confused because they're not the normal 4x6 size. They're approximately 4x5 1/4, which I'm not real fond of. Any thoughts on this? Did I do something wrong? I'm sure I choose the 4x6 print size. Also, they're glossy, is there a way to change to a matte finish? Thanks!

Okay, I see the problem. When ordering the photos, on the "foto" section, the size reads: 4x5. This is where you put the quantity of pictures.
However, on the "order" section, it reads 4x6. THis is the total number of photos with each size and price.
Same goes for 8x11 vs. 8x12, and 12x14 vs. 12x18----Something is not right. What should the correct sizes be? This could get kind of misleading.

Hello Sara,
I'll check with our partner in the morning to see if I can get the answers to your questions. The service will have a few hiccups but we think for the value it will be worth the wait. We could not find any other service that could match the quality and pricing.
I encourage everyone to check out the blog post (http://www.totsites.com/blog) talking about the photo center. It covers some of the frequenty asked questions.
Please keep your feedback coming!

Great Brian. Thanks!
Like I said the quality of the pictures was really good. I still do consider this a value. However, I'm just really hung up on the size issue, so I'm curious what you will find out. Thanks!

Hello-
I've used a lot of different sites to create photo books online. I'm a little disappointed with the functionality of the new one on totsites. i'm trying to get used to it...since I'd like to finally have one site where I can do EVERYTHING and I love the totsite webpage for my baby!
One major issue (and hopefully, I'm just missing the ball!) is that once you add a photo to one of the pages, there's no way to remove it/delete it. It's really frustrating when trying to do a page layout and then realizing maybe you want a different picture instead. Can you look into this, or point me to the directions on how to remove a picture, once it's been put on a page?
Thanks!
Tiffany

Hello Sara,
We talked to our partner and here is what they said about print sizes:
The 4” x 6” and 4” x 5” issue is all about the way the digital camera is set up and is a throwback to analog photos.
Our photos sizes are driven by the aspect ratio that the camera is set at - it is explained in the help - frequently asked questions:
How about all the different photo ratios and sizes?
Digital photo cameras have (in general) a different image ratio than classical photo cameras. Most digital cameras will produce ratio 4:3, for analogue photo cameras it is 3:2. The different ratios produce different sizes.
While placing the order you can see the available print sizes next to the photo (to the right, under Print). Depending on the ratio of the photo, the sizes are 4"x5", 5"x6-3/4", 8"x10.5", or 4"x6", 5"x7", 8"x12".
Why are my photos printed on 4" x 5" instead of 4" x 6”?
Most digital photos have a ratio of 4:3. This produces size 4" x 5". The photos will be printed completely (no cropping). This size will also be shown while you order.
Many other photo printers will print the photos larger and cut them afterwards (to 4" x 6"). This causes loss of image. With our method, you always see the complete photo.
Solution:
If you like 4” X 6” prints set your camera to 3:2 and we will print 4” x 6” pictures, if you leave your camera set at 4:3 you will get 4” x 5” pictures.

Brian,
Thanks for the information on the sizes of the photos. I have found on my camera what I need to change if I want the 4x6's. Thanks for checking that out!
One last thing...is it possibly to get matte photos instead of the glossy?
Thanks so much!!!! :D
