I thought I was computer savvy..but now Im thinking I may not be.

Here is the problem. I made a slide show on photobucket. Put the HTTP link into the http editor (HTMP button) and nothing is coming up. I think I got the right abbv. Anyhow, Im sure yall know what Im trying to get at...

I saw a post about it somewhere on here, and I thought I was doing what it said...but now I cant get it to work.

Am I grabbing the wrong link in photobucket to add here?

oh one more thing, when i put that link in..I do see my slide show in my box, its AFTER I click submit, it shows nothing.

This happened to me when I tried to post my photobucket slide show. If you see the actual slide show in the home page text box, then you need to delete it and then click on the "HTML" edit button and copy the code to that page. It should work - hope this helps!

Thanks so much! I bet that will work.

But can I only have it on my home page? I was wanting to do it as a journal entry. Either way it doesnt matter really. I can just add new slide shows to the home page from time to time.

There are some other options for making a slideshow and it works just fine! Here it is :
http://www.slide.com/ - I use this one and it's good !

Also, here are some other interesting/fun ideeas:
http://www.jigzone.com/
http://www.magmypic.com/

And this one is my favorite ( but you need to be a member or take the 14 days free trial ) : http://www.smilebox.com/ . I have a slide made on my home page :) !

For anyone having difficultly posting a slideshow in their journal. Don't use photobucket as it only seems to work on your homepage. I'm a member of Smilebox and you can post slideshows on your journal. 14 day free trial when you join then $39.99 for a year.
:)

Hello lovebeingmummy,

Please email support the code you are trying to place on your journal. We may be able to enable it for your journal as well!

To post a slideshow on your frontpage you must desable "easy edit" by clicking on it. Then paste the html code / save changes. The problem is that you can not edit the frontpage anymore in the easy edit mode, only on html mode.\

I hope you understande it.

Hello,
I disabled the easy edit in my journal and was able to post a slideshow there. Thanks for your advice.
