How many diapers can I expect to go through for a newborn weekly, and then on for the next 3 months or so how many can I expect weekly or monthly? I read online to expect about 70 a week for a newborn, how long does the definition of 'newborn' last regarding this diaper estimate??? I am basically trying to figure a budget for the 1st three months or so. So I would appreciate it if you could tell me what to expect, from your experiences of course...
BTW, I intend to breastfeed. But just incase I would like to hear from parents of bottle fed babies as well.

Thank you very much for reading and helping if you can.

I would just estimate 7 to 10 a day.

It really depends for the first few days. After the first few weeks you can start to predict better how many they will go through, once they begin to get more regular with feedings and bowel functions.

I don't think it really matters how many bowl movements are made (regardless of if they are breast or formula fed) because you will still be changing wet/pee diapers (with or without BM) and those tend to range 7 to 10 a day. Later you will notice they start to use less (more like 5-6 a day).

My advice is to just stock up and ask for diapers for baby showers etc...then you won't have to worry so much about budgeting for them for in the early months. You also will want to have a range on hand because a baby can go from NB size to size 1 or 2 (depending on the size of the baby) overnight.

Good luck!
