Do the photos have to be in the slide show format so that they switch automatically? If so, is there any way to control the speed in which they change? I'd like to slow mine down or change it so that the visitor has control of when they'd like to switch to the next picture.

If you press the pause button (directly below the picture) the slide show will stop. Then, you can click the arrow buttons to move to the next or previous picture whenever you want.

In addition to pausing the slideshow - you can also change the speed the photos change. Click on the speed icon (first icon from the right) and select the delay for each photo. (will go into effect after the next photo change)
Due to popular request, we are also working on additional feature that will let you choose from a couple different slideshow options. More details to come!

Will there ever be a time when you can just choose to have slideshow or not?

I do understand that you can pause the show or can choose a different speed but visitors (in my opinion) do not take the time to choose either option. Instead they click on the next picture that then makes them skip the next picture because the slide show is still moving.
In addition to pausing the slideshow - you can also change the speed the photos change. Click on the speed icon (first icon from the right) and select the delay for each photo. (will go into effect after the next photo change)

This response is several months old...Has a new feature been created? My visitors don't get they can control the speed or pause the slideshow...they just complain it is too slow or too fast, or skips a photo, etc. It would be much better if I can control those features for them, not them have to figure it out/change it as the visitor. I am curious what other slide show options you were thinking up, I have not seen any new ones. I would also love an option of no slide show, and just a next pic arrow.
Thanks

I agree with being able to adjust the speed myself and having it saved for visitors.
Also, Is there a way to automatically show the older pictures first? Every week I add 1 or 2 pictures and have to constantly use the down arrow to move the pictures to the bottom. I like to see the progression of my son growing over the weeks and going through a dozen photos is very time consuming when you're trying to organize them. Is there a way to automatically select oldest to most recent to be shown in the slide show?

Hello Jack_Henry,
The best way is to use the drag-and-drop arrange tool to move the newly uploaded photos to the end of your photo gallery.
